When Did Liberals Suddenly Have a Problem with Sexuality?

In what we can only assume is a deliberate attempt to make sure no one ever watches the program again, the beauty pageant best known for beautiful women strutting around in bikinis will no longer feature bikinis…or beautiful women.

Having been re-dubbed as Miss America 2.0, spokesperson Gretchen Carlson (formerly of Fox News fame) has announced the organization will be ditching the characteristic aesthetic focus in favor of a more intellectual bend. Seriously, has Gretchen ever heard any of these ladies talk about anything? Why does she think anyone watches this program in the first place? Hint: it’s not because these ladies possess supernatural arithmetic skills.

While we can all rest assured that Miss America is effectively dead, we also have to think about the stunning level of hypocrisy we’re seeing from the left on this. Organizers for the show have stated the change comes out of support for the #MeToo movement, a phenomenon largely hijacked by cultural Marxists at this point. Apparently, the idea of women running around exposing themselves in a provocative way only supports the evil patriarchs that like looking at attractive women now and again.

But…this is the same general movement that supported things like the “slut walk” — an event where a bunch of feminists run around without clothing while proclaiming they have some inherent right to do so. This is supposed to be a celebration of female beauty. But, how is that at all different from what Miss America was? Hint: it’s not.
