Why Hillary Clinton Can’t Say Anything About “Defending Diplomats”

This is a dark meme that hits home in all the right places.

Following President Donald Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki earlier this week, the White House announced it is considering an agreement with the Kremlin to streamline the U.S. investigation into alleged election meddling. The announcement came after Trump reversed earlier comments on U.S. intelligence agencies, which conclude Russia was involved in some capacity.

It didn’t take long for Hillary Clinton, steel reeling from her 2016 electoral defeat to the current commander-in-chief, to lend her two cents on what transpired. Responding to news that the White House may allow the Russian government to interview American citizens, Clinton shamed the Trump administration for even “hesitating” to defend a U.S. diplomat.

Of course, we all remember Clinton’s legacy in defending American diplomats…it didn’t go well.

During her time as former President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State, Clinton essentially sat back and watched a Libyan city burn down in flames as radical Islamists attacked U.S. diplomats — leading to the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens. Despite several requests for aid, Clinton’s State Department looked the other way.

To be blunt, shut up Hillary. You are in no position to comment on government treatment of diplomats when there is literal blood on your hands.
