California’s Rep. Adam Schiff is basically the face of the Democratic Party right now. This is pretty telling, considering that it’s an election season and the number of Democratic candidates for president is still in the double digits.
And we have to give him some credit here — he’s done the work to make himself at least seem relevant. Schiff essentially turned CNN into his own PR agency, and he’s been on TV constantly. This is all for a bad reason, but he’s definitely earned his position as far as the Democratic Party is concerned.
While Schiff is just a single lawmaker in the lower chamber of Congress, he has a lot more political power than you think — enough to make it extremely difficult for Republicans to push their case during the impeachment inquiry. And believe us when we say he has taken advantage of this power…
If all else fails, do not be the least bit surprised when this California Democrat throws his own hat into the ring in 2024. If impeachment didn’t make it out of committee, there’s a good chance he’d be running already.
