When You Put Democrats in Charge for Too Long

If you haven’t visited any of the major cities in California in about a decade, things have changed… a bit. Now that the state that brought America the Republican presidencies of Herbert Hoover, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon allows illegal aliens to vote in its elections, it’s virtually impossible for Republicans to become elected there.

The flood of illegal immigrants into the State of California has also driven housing prices through the roof. Simple economics: Too much demand, not enough supply of housing.

As a result, a lot of middle-class Californians are now homeless. It’s a full-blown crisis. But instead of figuring out ways to help the people that their policies have made homeless, the Democrat-controlled legislature focuses on frivolous and stupid things – like banning straws.

This meme shows the city of Los Angeles today. Meanwhile, the LA city council wants to spend $5 billion to build a land bridge from the Hollywood Hills over a freeway, so that a single mountain lion can safely cross the road. That’s not even a joke.

But California’s Democrat-majority legislature is a joke.
