When Memes Hit Iran and Democrats Too Close to Home

Admit it, just the sight of Chris Farley after all these years can still bring a smile to your face, can’t he? And in this particular meme, the late funny man points out that Iran has hated us since 1979 because President Trump assassinated one of their generals in 2020. Hey, it’s the same logic that congressional Democrats use every day…

As a reminder, Iran started attacking oil tankers in the Indian Ocean back in May of 2019. In June of last year, Iran launched missile and drone strikes against Saudi Arabia, launched a missile attack that almost hit the US embassy in Baghdad, and executed a CIA spy.

Then, they shot down an American drone. When the US military was close to launching a retaliatory strike against Iran, Trump called it off at the last minute, citing concerns over civilian casualties.

Then, Iran exceeded its uranium caps – twice – which was followed by capturing a British oil tanker. Trump has done everything he could to try to de-escalate the situation, up to and including firing John Bolton and his evil neocon moustache.

But now, Iran suddenly hates America (since 1979) because Trump finally responded with force by killing the guy who orchestrated all of Iran’s aggressive moves last year. Right.
