Okay, so we don’t need to repeat the whole “Nazis were socialists” for the one millionth time, but we have to anyway. And remember — we’re not the ones sitting around and proclaiming that names are really important.
Antifa, which the left loves to say is short for “anti-fascist,” is much more than group of people who think Mussolini was misguided. They don’t define fascism the same way a normal person does. They expand it to include just about every ideology or nuance that they don’t like. By this logic, the politics of Adolf Hitler are virtually the same as the politics of John McCain.
This is a terrorist group, plain and simple. When everyone is a fascist except you, you are effectively giving yourself an excuse to “resist” by all means possible — including violence. Now, this is perfectly justified when you are actually living under fascism. If you’re not sure if you are or not, ask yourself the following questions:
Is the government disarming its citizens?
Is the government restricting dissent?
Is the government moving to control all aspects of life?
Now, there may be some gun control bills floating around that we don’t like, but the federal government in the United States right now is not doing any of these things. This is what the Nazis did. But remember, they totally weren’t socialists, even though its full name is “The National Socialist German Worker’s Party.” The party also nationalized and commanded industries, but that’s a story for another day.
