What Nancy Pelosi REALLY Means When She Says “Border Security”

Throughout the entire government shutdown, Democrats found themselves in a bit of a snag. They understood that the majority of Americans do in fact want stronger border security, but they also understood that giving President Donald Trump funding for his wall would be humiliating for them.

Racing as far from their historic support for a border wall as they could, Democrats refuted the idea that they are against border security by stating that a wall is just an outdated concept. What we really need, according to Speaker Pelosi and Senator Schumer, is a network of cameras and drones patrolling the border instead.

Why are Democrats so obsessed with drones?

That could be a discussion for a later time, but let’s look at the first part of this proposal. Transforming the border into a massive surveillance complex is a great way to watch illegal aliens cross into our border, but it doesn’t seem to do much in actually stopping them from doing so. Of course, there’s also the libertarian argument that this same system could be used to target American citizens.

Remember: Democrats were for a wall before they were against it, and they were also for warrantless wiretapping and surveillance before they were against that. It’s almost impossible to take them seriously on anything.
