Twitter User Claims Words Would Disarm Violent Criminals

This is one of those tweets that you have to read several times — and several times again — and still find yourself unsure as to whether or not this is satire or a genuine display of pure idiocy.

In a tweet that went viral, Twitter account Progressive Dad doubled down on the gun control narrative by saying that even a violent scenario in which he was the target would not change his mind on the role firearms can play in society.

Instead of using a weapon to defend himself, he says he would rather have an illuminating conversation about class struggle to convince the criminal to change his ways.

Yes, because that’s worked a ton of times in the past. If only someone had psychoanalyzed the Boston bombers ahead of time…

Of course, with the tweet appearing so ridiculous, the profile demands a second look to see if it really is a carefully planned work of satire. Check out the following tweet below and decide for yourself:
