Twitter Decides to Go Ahead and Poke the Bear One More Time

This minimalist meme doesn’t even bother to suggest who the bear is, because it’s pretty obvious. The only text we’re provided with is “Jack Dorsey” – the CEO of Twitter – to label the guy engaging in the risky behavior of pokin’ a bear with a big ol’ stick.

Most of us probably don’t require warning labels on our memes, but just in case it needs saying: Don’t poke a bear with a stick.

Then again, Jack Dorsey probably needed to hear that warning, but no one around in him in his liberal Silicon Valley bubble thought to tell him to not poke the bear. After the bear warned Dorsey once for censorship, and then issued an executive order to amend the liability protections that Twitter uses as a shield to censor conservatives… Jack Dorsey poked the bear again, by censoring another one of the bear’s tweets.

Whatever happens next, it’s going to be impossible to feel any sympathy for Jack Dorsey or Twitter. Did Dorsey really think his little social media platform was more powerful than the bear?

Sometimes, you just have to let foolish people learn what happens when you poke a bear too many times.
