This Isn’t Exactly What a Working Class Champion Looks Like

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is more than just a presidential candidate — he’s a hero for people who have also never worked a day in the private sector in their entire lives.

Sanders really is the perfect poster child for socialism — he didn’t have a paying job until he was in his 40s. Even a hippie commune had to kick him out because he wasn’t doing any work. Face it: you have to be pretty damn lazy for a bunch of hippies to take issue with you.

Despite the size of his contribution to the economy — which again, is nothing — the Vermont senator gets to enjoy a pretty good life. While his defeat in the 2016 Democratic nomination by Hillary Clinton was surely disappointing for him, he got to close out the year strong by purchasing a third home. Now, it isn’t known if he’s been using his extra homes to house the destitute or anything like that, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
