The “Wage Gap” Explained in One Image

Most Americans, especially millennials, take the feminist talking point that women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes as an indisputable fact.

What they don’t do, however, is explore the variables that make this the case.

If you ask a modern feminist to explain why this supposed wage gap exists, they will likely tell you that it is the result of a patriarchal system that is designed to keep women dependent on men.

This image, however, takes this whole argument to task by pointing out exactly why men tend to make more money than women do in the workplace.

Some of the most obvious examples include men facing more workplace deaths, men having a tendency to take more risks (asking for raises, promotions, ect.), or simply being more competitive in nature compared to their female counterparts. All of this seems like relatively easy information to understand and appreciate, but simply pointing it out can get you labelled as a sexist, bigot, or some other cardboard cutout insult.
