The New York Times Reminds Us How Reliable Polls Are

Oh, no! Powerful election juggernaut Joe Biden is so powerful and juggernauty that he’s now 14 points ahead of Donald Trump in the 2020 election! All of the media says so. Therefore, all of Trump’s supporters should just stay home on Election Day in November. Your vote isn’t going to make a difference!

All of this probably sounds a bit weird to anyone who is paying attention. In one of his recent, extremely rare campaign appearances, only two people who were not reporters showed up to listen to him speak. That’s… two (2). Not 200. Not 2,000. Just 2.

And yet every single “mainstream” polling outfit has Joe Biden leading our popular incumbent president by double digits. If you’re old enough to remember 2016, you’ll likely recall that we’ve been in this clown car before.

This image has been plastered all over the web as a meme this week. But it’s not technically a “meme.” It’s a real image from the New York Times’ website in 2016, the day before Donald Trump trounced Hillary Clinton.

Keep that in mind as you see all the polls between now and November that will show Joe Biden whooping Donald Trump by 100 million to zero.
