The ACLU Celebrates International Men’s Day

What does it mean to be a man?

There are a lot of ways to answer this, apparently. You could say it involves an affinity for team sports, crushing a 20-oz steak in one sitting, a tolerance for substandard alcoholic beverages, or perhaps being covered with pulsating flesh boulders from head to toe.

These are all well and good, but we prefer the simplest definition — something that apparently completely eludes the American Civil Liberties Union. Being a man is simple: it involves having a Y chromosome, and a certain set of hardware between your legs. That’s it. As far as “manliness” is concerned, well, consult the paragraph above and make your own conclusions.

As we see in this absurd tweet, which was supposed to celebrate people who “identify” with being a male, the progressive left is obsessed with redefining what was once considered the easiest biological distinction. But this is more than just denying simple science. This is part of an attack on masculinity itself. Merely questioning this “woke” way of thinking is often retorted with claims including the phrase “fragile” masculinity or whatever else. In other words, believe what we want you to believe, or we’ll insult your manhood.

Real progressive indeed.
