Sweet Blessed Relief from Mini Mike’s Annoying Little Campaign Ads

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of sweet silence after Mike Bloomberg’s failed little (heh) campaign comes to its preordained doom. So much for that claim that you can buy an election!

As this meme notes, we love the sound of no Bloomberg ads in the morning. Or on the morning commute. Or during our lunch break. Or during afternoon naptime, at dinnertime, at bedtime and all the other times when we were under constant, never-ending attack from Bloomberg’s ad spend.

Bloomberg’s campaign may have been of short duration, but he set several records in the process. No other campaign has ever spent so much money in so little time and still managed to come up short.

After such an embarrassing failure, Bloomberg’s stature is diminished on the world stage, no doubt. But he will definitely not be missed on every imaginable digital format that uses advertising.

At long last, we can pull up the song, “Don’t Want No Short People ‘Round Here” by Randy Newman on YouTube – and we won’t have to watch a Bloomberg campaign ad before the video plays. We love the sound of no Bloomberg ads in the morning.
