No doubt you’ve heard by now about Democrats’ shabby treatment of the National Guard troops who are “protecting” the US Capitol. The day after all the Senators and Representatives posed for photo ops with the troops inside the Capitol, they kicked 5,000 soldiers out and forced them to sleep in a cold parking garage with one toilet, one power outlet and no WiFi.
This story is hilarious on several levels. One the one hand, it’s always fun to hack on the Democrats because they totally deserve it. They hold the American people and the military in contempt, and there’s nothing they dislike more than when we all just point and laugh at them.
On the other hand, the troops are in this thing called “the military.” They’re used to sleeping in rough places and hardship, so… they can probably do without catered meals for a few days.
