‘Send Trump’s Kids’: Liberals Prove They Know Nothing About the Military

This image popped up on The Other 98%’s Facebook feed recently, which was immediately praised as a novel idea.

It’s always fascinating when liberal social media pages criticize conservative politicians for failing to have some sort of military pedigree, considering left-wing icons like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have no military record to speak of whatsoever.

The idea that Donald Trump’s sons meet the age limit for the U.S. Armed Forces isn’t entirely wrong, but it’s highly likely that they would see any action even if they somehow managed to serve without anyone knowing who they were.

The U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps, the two branches which do most of the fighting on the ground, cap the age of new enlistees at 35 and 29, respectively. Even the Marine Corps Reserve forces turn away everyone older than 29. Both men are technically young enough to serve in other branches like the Air Force and the National Guard, but this is beside the point.

Again, while not factually incorrect, the hypocrisy behind this post is astounding. Since liberals also champion the idea that women should serve beside men in combat operations, should Barack Obama have put his daughters in harms way when he waged an eight-year long drone campaign against militants hiding in caves? Probably not.
