President Trump Just Trolled the Left into Checkmate

For a man who spent his entire adult life working in the private sector, President Donald Trump is actually pretty good at the whole politics thing…

Trump and many of his supporters have been railing against the practice of establishing “sanctuary cities” for years — and for good reason. These cities are basically in open rebellion against federal law by refusing to take any action against illegal immigrants who live there.

At the same time, Democrats in Congress and at the state level have refused to work with the president to improve conditions at the southern border. Will scores of illegal immigrants pouring in every day, border patrol agents are overwhelmed. They simply don’t have the resources to care for everyone coming in, and Democrats have refused to give them any.

This is why President Trump is forcing the hard left to defend (or possibly abandon) one of their favorite tactics. By calling for illegals to be housed at sanctuary cities, municipal authorities are now forced to explain why they can’t do that. In doing so, they’re essentially making Trump’s argument on immigration for him.

Check.
