The Holy Bible would be very different if it was penned by social justice warriors rather than by individuals with divine inspiration.
Then again, it isn’t difficult to imagine the far-left publishing something like this. You see, leftism isn’t really too different from religion at all. Despite the antics of people on the left to disparage religion (well, at least Christianity) on a regular basis, their beliefs are practiced religiously.
The modern left has all of the trappings of contemporary religion. There is a concept of original sin (“toxic masculinity”, capitalism, whatever else), there is redemption through accepting your privilege, and there is a promise of salvation through socialism. And, perhaps most obviously, there is a call to rid the world of all heretics — or people that just disagree with you.
In effect, in fighting religion’s very existence, the left has adopted all of organized religion’s worst qualities. So, instead of meeting and socializing on one particular day of the week, the left puts forward a Crusade-era approach in affirming its own righteousness.
It’s this kind of thinking that convinces people to actually believe a gun walked up to someone, and told them to go kill people.
