NYC Terror Attack: Liberal Hypocrisy Plays Out in Real Time

New York City was attacked by an Islamic extremist who used a truck to roll over innocent civilians, and the left reacted exactly as you would expect them to at this point.

This tweet exploded all over Twitter, with screen shots shared by conservative accounts with no caption needed. We literally see the same user apply a radically different standard when reacting to the shooter who killed nearly 60 people in Las Vegas to terror suspect Sayfullo Saipov, who shouted “Allahu Akbar” during his rampage.

The top portion shows Twitter user Tamania blaming every white person on Earth for the atrocity, asking Americans in particular to issue a collective apology. The bottom portion, shared less than a month later, follows the typical “not all Muslims routine” by condemning everyone even kind of criticizing Islamic ideology.

The hypocrisy just writes itself.

This kind of rhetoric is wholly unproductive, and discourages a serious debate about how ideologies play a role in terrorism. Yes – it’s perfectly stupid to blame every single Muslim for the attack. But by that logic, isn’t it just as illogical to blame every white person for what happened in Las Vegas?

Also, Islam is not a race.
