Ah, the good ole days: back when you can solve a bad harvest by pulling a beating heart out of the most unlucky person you knew. Life was so easy back then.
All jokes aside, the modern take on climate change really isn’t terribly different from how the ferocious Aztec Empire. Like the warrior culture shown in the image to the left, Democrats believe that the best way to change the weather is to alter government policy. Sure, carbon emission taxes aren’t as directly harmful as, say, decapitating people, but it’s still a wordly government policy that the weather really doesn’t care much about.
Climate, by its very definition, is constantly changing. Some of them most dramatic periods of climate change in the history of the world occurred long before the first HuffPost think piece came into being. The most famous one is the last Ice Age, where our ancestors lived incredibly brutish lifestyles. Weirdly enough, progressives want us to move closer to a lifestyle without technology to stop climate change. Clearly, that didn’t work for those that came before us…
