The Left’s Hypocrisy on the New Zealand Shooting on Full Display

If you don’t read Slate, you’re really not missing much. If you can believe it, it somehow surpasses the likes of CNN and the Washington Post in terms of unapologetic bias against anything that even smells slightly right-wing. Fortunately, we read it so you don’t have to. All you have to do is laugh at their stupid content.

Here is one of our favorite recent examples. We have two tweets about very similar events…and very different reactions. Perhaps you can guess what the difference is.

This isn’t hard to figure out — because the perpetrator in the referenced Ohio attack is a person of color, the knee-jerk reaction is to not judge every single person of that same race to behave in the same way. This is a perfectly sane response. But, when paired next to the white supremacist terror attack in New Zealand, suddenly this changes. Why?

Just about every twisted political ideology is built around the idea of supremacy to some degree. No one can argue against the fact that ISIS saw its Islamic ideology as superior to others, and this ideology was used to justify its violence. The same goes for white supremacists who act violently.

So, what’s the real difference here, Slate?
