Hillary Clinton Has Something to Learn from Vladimir Putin

Earlier in 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin won his “re-election,” cementing his status as his country’s strongman leader for almost two decades.

The phrase “re-election” is put in quotes here because almost no one in the civilized world believes elections in the Russian Federation are even close to legitimate. After all, Putin has in the past served two separate terms in the role, serving as prime minister during the time between. His most vocal political opponents also have a tendency to just disappear into the night.

Make no mistake — Russia is an oligarchical state with very limited political freedoms. Elections are clearly rigged, and people living in the country don’t seem too motivated to change it.

Now, let’s look at Hillary Clinton — who enjoyed a rigged election in 2016 but lost anyway, because the United States is not a quasi-dictatorship. While suggesting the Federal Election Commission had it in for her may be a bit of a stretch, there is no question there was a coordinated effort by the mainstream media to paint her in the most positive light possible. The fact that she got the heads up on debate questions ahead of time was no accident. Hilariously, she lost anyway — to a man who has never ran for political office in his life.
