Fact: Hillary Clinton Would Be the Worst Trick-or-Treater

If Hillary Clinton showed up at your home yesterday, there’s a good chance she still hasn’t left.

This meme, posted to Reddit’s “Conservative” page, shows the former First Lady and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate refusing to budge after being handed her treats. This piece perfectly captures how, now nearly a year after the fact, Clinton still can’t let go of the fact that she lost an election to a potty-mouthed reality television star.

The challenge for the Democratic party since then, as with any party after losing an election, has been rebranding. Did they overshoot the intersectionality angle by jumping on every social justice bandwagon? Why is it that the blue collar workers who used to vote for them by default suddenly want nothing to do with them? These are serious questions the party leadership has had to consider.

Of course, this process has been more than a bit difficult with the face of their defeat refusing to leave the media spotlight. To make matters worse, Clinton’s latest publication makes it perfectly clear that she, in her mind, did absolutely nothing wrong, and that some of her fellow partisans are actually at fault.

As we move ever closer to the 2018 mid-term elections, it’s clear that Democrats still don’t fully understand what to do. Do they embrace their progressive wing, which includes millennial favorites such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Bernie Sanders? Or, do they maintain their neo-liberal approach, championed by now ex-President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton herself?

Their decision will have a profound impact on whether or not they can recover from the year-long PR nightmare the party has had to endure.

One thing’s for sure, however: Hillary Clinton is certainly not helping.
