Elizabeth Warren Trying to be “Relatable” is Hilarious

Not long ago, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren was the hot new thing in the Democratic Party. Just to make sure we’re all on the same page, “hot new thing” is being used very generously here…

With her firebrand attacks on Wall Street, and her simple intersectional identity (which soon turned out to be a complete fabrication), Warren checked off all the marks for a Democratic presidential candidate. Today, however, she’s trailing far behind her Democratic rivals, and the primary season hasn’t even officially begun yet.

Her infamous Instagram live stream where the Massachusetts senator was seen robotically drinking a beer and feigning surprise that her husband was walking around (in his own house) was really the icing on the cake — no one cares about her anymore. Now, maybe she isn’t as left-wing as Bernie Sanders or as culturally cued in as Kamala Harris (who was listening to Tupac before he made any music, apparently) — it’s really anyone’s guess. But, we think the fact that she tried to capitalize off of a total lie about her ethnic heritage played at least some small role.

So, with all this in mind, it’s no wonder why she’s trying really hard to be relatable. We appreciate it, because she’s terrible at it and it’s hilarious.
