Don’t Blame Us, Liberals – the Shutdowns Were Your Brilliant Idea

Something like 10% of all memes on the internet feature this format right now, with the lady screaming at a cat at the dinner table. This little gem of a format started last year in June and it has been wildly popular ever since.

The screechy ladies are from the show “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and the cat is an Instagram star known as Smudge. Most of the memes are pretty similar to this one, with the screechy housewives screeching some liberal platitude, while Smudge responds with dispassionate logic. Well – the memes that don’t have obscene commentary on them follow that format.

Here, Smudge points out that conservatives have never tended to protest things in the past because… well, because we were working. If liberals don’t like the fact that right-wingers are protesting the lockdowns, there’s a simple solution.

They could have kept their promise and locked the country down for two weeks. That was what we all sort of consented to, unwillingly. But noooooo… here we are months later, still locked down in 31 states. And liberals wonder why we’re mad about it?
