A lot of people may not know this, but the personal firearm industry flourished under the Obama Administration.
Now, you might think that this is counter-intuitive — and it kind of is. While former President Barack Obama wasn’t able to bring major gun control legislation to the table, the constant threat of executive action loomed on the horizon — and American gun owners saw the writing on the wall. So, what did they do? They bought guns en masse, and stockpiled them in the event the product they were eyeing would be banned within a month.
Now, we’re seeing the same thing play out without a Democrat even being in the White House. When Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke famously said “hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15,” guess what happened? Gun sellers around the country made bank — mainly from consumers who are rightly terrified if Beto’s vision for a disarmed country comes into fruition.
Democrats may not be good for gun policy, but they sure are good for gun manufacturers. Someone should really let them know…
