Congressional Democrats Refuse to Condemn Infanticide

Remember when Republicans were called crazy for referring to Democrats as “baby killers”? Good times.

During the last week of February, a bill came to a vote on the House floor which would have introduced a federal penalty for killing physicians killing babies that were already born. The bill had nothing to do with abortion really — it simply required babies that somehow survived the procedure to be transferred to a hospital and receive care.

House Democrats, who really want us all to know that the idea that they support infanticide is just right-wing hyperbole, voted it down. Yes — in the name of feminism, Democrats in Congress can’t even bring themselves to defend babies that are already born. You know, because of women’s rights and all that.

This is worth repeating: in the scenario outlined in the bill, the baby is already born. At this point, it has nothing to do with the woman’s so-called right to an abortion or her right to choose what she can do with her own body. This pertains to an entirely separate person — a person that is helpless without medical care.

Again, this underscores exactly where the Democratic Party is right now. In 2020, we’re not just choosing between higher or lower taxes — we’re choosing between life and death.
