Beto O’Rourke Made an Absolute FOOL Out of Himself Here

If you didn’t watch the first Democratic debate on Wednesday, you missed some gems.

We’re not talking about any sharp policy proposals, cutting debate tactics, or inspiring speeches — there was none of that. What you did see if you actually tuned in was two hours of comedy gold.

At one point during the debate, each of the candidates were asked to talk about the first thing they would do if they were elected president. Julian Castro, who emerged from the evening as a sort of sleeper candidate that didn’t garner much coverage until, started his answer in Spanish. After that, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker — who obviously doesn’t share Castro’s Spanish heritage, did the same. Then came Robert “Beto” O’Rourke — a white dude from Texas — attempting to do the same. The results were legendary.

O’Rourke continued the stunt throughout the debate, all the while sounding like that one kid in high school Spanish class who didn’t even try to get the accent right.

So, Beto, what’s the Spanish word for “pandering”?
