If you’ve been unfortunate enough to watch any of the recent Democratic primary debates, you’ve inevitably noticed one thing: Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has a one-track mind.
The octogenarian socialist talks a lot about the “millionaires and billionaires” who conspire to murder our children by giving them job opportunities. He might also drop the obligatory “Green New Deal” mantra to stop the climate change demon from destroying the world in 12 years. But, that’s really it. He has no other policy positions.
Think about it: when was the last time you’ve even heard about Sanders saying anything profound about foreign policy? How would the democratic socialist respond to something like massive terrorist attack? Is there a militant bone in his body?
These are valid questions, because this is the office of the president’s primary responsibility. The commander-in-chief was never really meant to dictate domestic policy — local and state governments do that. A president is supposed to keep his eye on America’s borders — but we all know how Bernie feels about those pesky things…
