Because It’s Different When Communist China Says It

This meme has pop culture references and political issues flying in from every direction. Bravo!

LeBron James is one of the highest-profile NBA players in the world. And yet during the Hong Kong protests back in January or so, James took the side of the communist oppressors in Beijing. James criticized an NBA coach for tweeting his support of the Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters. (You know, the people protesting without looting any Target stores? Remember them?)

LeBron James basically sided with communist China by declaring that freedom of speech is really tricky, and you have to be careful what you say and blah blah blah. Huh? How about if Americans say what we want and you can go pound sand if you don’t like it, you commie bootlicker?

The Laura Ingraham quote is a play on her book, “Shut up and Sing” from almost 20 years ago now. LeBron James would definitely declare “Shut up and dribble” from an American to be “racist.”

But if Xi Jinping told him the same thing, LeBron James would shut up and dribble. Such a coward.

Where are all the role models in professional sports these days? Oh, right. They’re all taking a knee and surrendering to the mob.
