Aunt Jemima’s Syrup Bottle Just Got its New Look

Bowing to political correctness is never a good idea, because you know that it’s going to be “memed” into the stratosphere. Pepsi, which owns the “Aunt Jemima Maple Syrup” brand, made a big announcement this week that they are eliminating Aunt Jemima to strike a blow for Black Lives Matter.

The Meme World has responded!

And to put it gently, this meme with Joe Biden was the least culturally insensitive meme that we could find on it. A close second was the meme with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (in blackface) on a bottle of syrup.

And let’s just say it all goes downhill from there, ranging from wildly inappropriate to downright actual racism. The use of Joe Biden and his campaign slogan is a nice way to illustrate the extreme hypocrisy of the American left when it comes to political correctness.

As if Americans are crying out, “Oh, yes, please, Democrats! Please lecture us some more about how we are the ones displaying systemic racism and badthink. Could you perhaps have Joe Biden explain it to us again?”

Too bad the syrup is gone. At least we’ll have these memes to remember it by.
