AOC Has a New Strategy for Impeaching President Trump

A lot of conservatives — and, quite frankly, a lot of moderate Democrats — are pretty upset that a millennial former bartender edged out an incumbent lawmaker to become an actual Representative in Congress.

We understand the sentiment — her lack of experience in well, anything can be pretty frustrating. But, we’re a bit cynical here at Facts Not Memes — engaging with the online culture war ever single way sort of left us with no choice. Because of that, we’re overjoyed that New York’s Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is basically the de facto brains of the Democratic Party. Serious, we couldn’t be happier…

Despite being a freshman lawmaker, AOC finds herself calling the shots with House Democrats. While Speaker Nancy Pelosi is technically in charge, AOC commands the loyalty of the base. And, as anyone who understands the appeal of populist politics knows, that’s what really matters. Pelosi must give AOC what she wants, or the entire party is doomed from apathetic voters.

This is why we’re getting a botched impeachment inquiry. This is why we’re getting a Green New Deal that no sane person on the right, left, or center really wants. Pelosi can’t control AOC, and we couldn’t be more thankful: the Democratic Party has been exposed as the radical uprising it actually is.
