Another Way to Look at the Green New Deal

Last week, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced her Green New Deal, and it’s basically full-scale communism.

You can’t exactly tell by the title of the resolution, but what AOC just submitted was the most radical legislation in recent memory. It goes far beyond tree-hugger pet projects like building solar panels or stopping construction companies from slicing up the forests. There is a portion of the resolution that mandates that workers in America support those who are “unwilling to work”, and calls for retrofitting every single building in the country. The more you think about it, the more it reads like the Great Leap Forward in China.

We’ve talked a lot about exactly how dumb the resolution is, but not enough about how AOC herself has responded to criticism for it. Naturally, she was ripped apart by the conservative commentary community, despite receiving endless praise from fellow Democrats in Washington and the NPC mainstream media. The former bartender now claims that the dumber parts of the bill, such as the bit about people not actually having to work, was “doctored”. It wasn’t.

AOC was having such a hard time with this that she was forced to take down the summary that was on her website. At the time of writing, she has het to replace it.
