America’s Israel Policy: Then Vs. Now

Just about every time a Jewish American is the victim of a mass shooting, or really any violent crime that gets mainstream media attention, the news cycle devolves into a discussion on how Donald Trump is emboldening white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Many pundits in the mainstream media suggest that, because President Trump was slow to disassociate from the alt-right (which has been loosely-defined since the onset), he must be totally okay with Jews getting killed. But when you look at how the president has handled America’s relationship with the Jewish state of Israel, this argument doesn’t hold up at all.

Trump is, by almost every measure, the most pro-Israel president the United States has ever had. He was the first president to formally recognize the sacred city of Jerusalem as the rightful capitol of Israel. Almost every president since the Jewish state’s founding promised to do so, but held off after being elected.

The president also ditched the Iran-nuclear deal, which would have almost certainly resulted in a nuclear-powered anti-semitic government.

If Trump really is a Nazi, he’s really, really bad at doing Nazi stuff…
