America Has One of the World’s Most Generous Immigration Policies

Most young Americans who have never stepped outside of the United States are under the impression that their country is developing some sort of draconian immigration law, making the nation an embarrassment to the world in the process.

Implementing sound border policies, people like those who have shared this image everywhere say, represents a cold-hearted hatred for everyone outside of the native culture.

Unfortunately for the left, this understanding is outrageously untrue.

Let’s take Japan as an example. The country is extremely strict with not only who is allowed to live in the country, but with who is allowed to visit at all. Unlike the United States, Japan doesn’t cater to foreign cultures. You are expected to learn the language, understand the law, and respect the customs. Even individuals who have met all of these qualifications are never really considered “Japanese”. The overwhelming majority will still be denied full citizenship rights.

Japan isn’t exactly unique either, as it is joined by a myriad of other nations usually understood to be first-world countries. These include France, Russia, Germany, and even Mexico.

You read that right: Mexico has more strict immigration laws than the United States.
